Morstøl beat England’s Dinesh Khatri heads-up and closed it out in A-5 Triple Draw with a six-low. Khatri took €6 400 for second. Anders Auset finished third for €4 260, his second final table of the week after seventh place in the Welcomer Big Bet Mix.

Tallinn is Morstøl’s third EMPC. “It feels amazing,” he said. “It’s my third EMPC, with my first win. I’ve been really wanting to get a win in this series, so I’m very satisfied to do it now.”

The run started at EPT Malta in October 2025 and has taken him through Prague, Bratislava, Taipei and Las Vegas.

1. EPT Malta, 10-Game
2. APT Championship, 9-Game
3. APT Championship, Dealer’s Choice
4. EPT Prague, 2-7 Single Draw
5. EPT Prague, 8-Game
6. The Festival Bratislava, TORSES Main Event
7. APT Taipei, NLTD Mix
8. APT Taipei, Octo Razz
9. APT Taipei, Stud
10. Orleans Summer Open, 8-Game (Las Vegas)
11. ARIA Poker Classic, 8-Game (Las Vegas)
12. EMPC Tallinn, Lowball Draw Mix

Morstøl puts part of it down to volume. “The last year I’ve been playing a lot and just traveling and enjoying life,” he said. “And I guess it helps when you get on a little heater, get a lot of final table experience as well.”

The lowball games suit him best. “These are my favourite games, the Lowball Draw games,” he said. “In the Big Bet mix I have some more weaknesses, so this is for sure my best games.”

EMPC sets aside 1% of every prize pool for the Player of the Series, and the win puts Morstøl among the leaders. “The focus now is the rest of this series,” he said. “That would be fun, to be in the running for one of the top spots.”
