The Norwegians LOVE mixed games, from the early days of the Norwegian Championship having just 2-3 tables of players testing their skills in the HORSE championship event; mixed games have gained popularity and the Norwegian Championship 8-game now hosts well above 100 unique players every year. With that being said it isn’t a surprise that the first ever European Mixed Poker Championship came together as an idea between the founder of the Norwegian Championship, Frode Fagerli, and the Norwegian mixed games phenomenon Tobias Jelsa Leknes.
The European Mixed Poker Championship is about way more than just the niche games of the world. The championship aims to share the passion and love for the games, to show the world that poker can be fun, engaging and full of camaraderie. Attending a mixed games festival is an unique experience, with talkative tables, a friendly atmosphere and a schedule which guarantees you hours of poker every day. The structures
The tournament structures for EMPC are all made by Tobias J Leknes, delivering a delicate balance where the early portions of the tournament will be meaningful, and the endgame allows for plenty of play. The length of each event is customized so that you will be able to play as many tournaments as possible throughout the week, despite deep runs!
