Patrick Stacey Wins the S.O.R.B.E.T. High Roller After a 3.5-Hour Heads-Up

Canada’s Patrick Stacey won Event #7, the €1 500 S.O.R.B.E.T. High Roller, at Olympic Park in Tallinn for €20 230. He beat Germany’s Nicolas Bokowski after three and a half hours of heads-up play.

Bokowski won the Nordic Blood Mix earlier in the week, and Stacey stopped him from taking a second trophy. Bokowski collected €12 830 for second. “My opponent was the toughest heads-up player I’ve ever played, so it was a challenge, and he’s a beast,” Stacey said.

Thirty-five players made 45 entries for a prize pool of €59 334. Sweden’s Jerry Ödeen finished third for €9 330. Andrew Kelsall of the United States took fourth for €7 000, his third final table of the week after the Lowball Draw Mix and the T.O.E. Turbo.

This is Stacey’s first EMPC title. His only earlier EMPC cash was seventh place in the 2025 8-Game Main Event in Dublin. He came to Tallinn to back EMPC co-founder Tobias Leknes. “To support Tobias in the mixed tournaments,” he said. “It’s Tallinn, so why not?”

He liked the room. “Excited, love it. Funnest venue I’ve ever played at,” Stacey said. “The people here are the best, they’re the most fun. In the U.S., most of the time they’re pretty miserable, so I like being here. Everybody’s great.”

The EPT and other big festivals have started adding S.O.R.B.E.T. to their schedules, and Stacey wants the World Series to follow. “I love it. It should be one of the main fixed-limit games at the World Series.”

Stacey is a Canadian citizen and a permanent resident of the Cayman Islands. At the trophy ceremony, Leknes asked what he would tell players thinking about coming next year. “Come, definitely. The happiest people here. I like mixed games.”
