Twelve title events. Six days of mixed games. One Player of the Series.
Throughout EMPC 2026, every cash counts towards the Player of the Series (POS) leaderboard. At the end of the festival, the player with the most points takes the entire POS prize pool and the Player of the Series trophy!
The prize
1% of the prize pool from every EMPC title event will be deducted and added to the Player of the Series prize pool. All 12 events contribute, and the competition is winner takes all.
How do you earn points?
The formula rewards deep runs while also taking into account the number of bullets used. Additional bullets reduce the points earned from a result, rewarding players who make deep runs with fewer attempts.
POS Points = [(Prize ÷ Buy-in) ÷ (2 + Bullets)]^0.75 × Event Multiplier
Event multipliers
| Events | Multiplier |
|---|---|
| Event 1 and 12 | ×75 |
| Events 2–6 and 8–10 | ×100 |
| Event 7 and 11 – High Rollers | ×150 |
A higher multiplier does not necessarily mean a higher point score. The size of the prize relative to the buy-in is a major part of the formula, meaning a big result in a large-field event can be worth more than winning a smaller High Roller.
Deals
If a deal is made, all players involved receive points based on the lowest official payout available to the players in the deal.
For example, if the final three players make a deal, all three receive points based on the original third-place payout, regardless of how they divide the money.
What does it look like?
A few EMPC 2025 results, calculated using the 2026 system:
| Player | Event | Finish | Prize | Bullets | Points |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Blaž Žerjav | Main | 1st | €15,743 | 1 | 409.88 |
| Matthew Kelley | Main | 2nd | €10,260 | 2 | 239.61 |
| Tobias Leknes | Event 1 | 1st | €4,207 | 1 | 238.43 |
| Patrick Stacey | Main | 7th | €2,520 | 1 | 103.73 |
| Thor W. Morstøl | Event 1 | 3rd | €1,825 | 3 | 86.88 |
| Nicolas Bokowski | Event 1 | 5th | €1,095 | 1 | 86.88 |
| Alexander Freud | Main | 6th | €3,200 | 3 | 84.59 |
Why bullets matter: Patrick Stacey’s 7th place on one bullet scores more than Alexander Freud’s 6th place on three. Bokowski’s 5th on one bullet scores exactly the same as Morstøl’s 3rd on three.
One player. One trophy. Will it be you?
