Poker North Masters

The Poker North Masters festival, launched in 2023, has quickly become a beacon for poker enthusiasts worldwide. This festival not only houses the prestigious Norwegian Championship of Poker but also serves as a platform for a series of tournaments that cater to a diverse group of participants. Unique to this festival is the integration of eight tournaments exclusively open to Norwegians, solidifying its position as a national championship. However, the inclusivity of the festival shines through in the remaining tournaments, which welcome players from all corners of the globe, embodying the Norwegian poker community’s renowned spirit of inclusiveness.

A notable innovation during the festival’s preparation was the conception of the European Mixed Games Championship, a brainchild of Tobias Lekes. Recognizing the potential to celebrate the variety within poker and the inclusive nature of the Norwegian poker scene, Lekes’ idea flourished into an integral part of the festivities. This championship commences a week prior to the Norwegian Championship, offering a prelude that showcases a variety of poker formats and welcoming players with different skill sets.

The highlight of the Poker North Masters is undoubtedly its Main Event, which boasts a guaranteed prize pool of €500,000. With a buy-in set at €350 and the option for re-entries, the tournament is designed to be accessible yet competitive. The structure includes multiple starting days, allowing a broad spectrum of participants to join in the pursuit of the significant prize pool. This approach not only enhances the festival’s appeal but also reflects the organizers’ commitment to creating a dynamic and engaging poker experience.

The Poker North Masters festival, through its comprehensive range of tournaments, commitment to inclusivity, and significant prize offerings, has established itself as a cornerstone event in the international poker calendar. It not only champions the spirit of Norwegian poker but also invites players from around the world to partake in a celebration of the game’s diversity and competitive spirit.
